The Move is in Full Swing
Hello. Hope everyone is having a fabulous week. Sorry I haven't been posting....we're right in the middle of the move. It has been so hectic, packing and and loading. Hubby took most of our stuff last weekend, with him to Saskatoon. We were left with mattresses, clothes and kitchen stuff. We're heading down to Saskatoon today after school (Yay! 5 hour drive!). Going to check out our new house, register in the new school and A has cheer try-outs in the evening. Then off to the lake. I can't wait for this to be over. It has been a long 6 months, without hubby. I never thought in a million years we would live like this. He is such a vital part of our family, from helping the girls get ready for school in the morning, to just watching the kids shows with them. We've had our ups and downs in those months, mostly with the kids. But I see the light at the end of the tunnel right now. I'm so close to having us all back together, I can make it 2 more weeks. Our house won't be ready until end of July, so we'll be at the lake till then. At least we are only 1.5 hrs away from Saskatoon. Anyways, I'll post a few pics of the new house when we get back on Monday. Wish me luck!!!
Here's our vision for the dining room. What do you think?
They have the same light at Ikea, for like $80. I found the chairs at a store in Edmonton, for $100 a chair. Not bad, considering the real ones are like $750. They're not real Eames, but almost identical. Check them out here. And hubby is building me a table....eventually. Lol. He says in 6 months, I say by September.
They were featured on nordicdesign. I am loving the Nordic and Scandinavian decor!! Simple, yet rustic.
There you have it. Hope to get back to posting soon. Enjoy your weekend.

Chic By You Wednesday Linky Party #10
Hello. Happy Hump Day! It's all down hill from here. I have some great features from last week.
My favorite is from orphans with makeup. Mary did such a great job turning this dresser into a change table. Wish I had this furniture when my girls were babies.
Crowd favorite was this table from a junk chick life. Paige received this piece for free and turned it into a gem. Looks perfect.
And who isn't hunting for the perfect teacher gift always. This Abundant Life Blog has inspired me to make a nice plant for my girls teachers. Love it!!
Thanks for sharing your fabulous projects with me, and don't forget to grab a button on the side. Ok, lets get this party started!

Gold Mirror Gallery Update
Gorgeous.
Such beautiful detail in each mirror.
The bottom was broken, therefore she gave me a deal. I paid $10. Sold. Most of my mirrors were bought for over $25 a piece at antique malls. So in my books, that was a steal. What do antique mirrors sell for in your neck of the woods? Just curious.
This is our front sitting room. No Tv. Just for relaxing. Hubby and I spent most of our time sitting here, watching the kids play in our cul-de-sac. {tear} I'm going to miss my neighbourhood.
Close up of Cali <3
Still lovin my succulent terrariums, make your own here. Enjoy the rest of your week and thanks for stopping in.

My Industrial Decor Planter Make-Over
Hello. Hope you had a great weekend with loved ones. We drove down to meet the hubby for a weekend at the cabin. Living apart has been tough on everyone, especially the kids. But, we seem to make the most of our 2 days with him. I am literally counting the days till the end of June, when we move. Hurry up June! One thing we have decided on for our new home, is the decor. We both are drawn to the industrial look. Rustic wood finishes mixed with metals. Throw in a few mid century pieces of furniture and call it a day. So, I've set to creating some decor. I posted earlier my 6-easy-industrial-decor-diy-ideas, which I will be starting soon. Since I went and bought some more succulents this week {btw-I am obsessed with succulents), at the best greenhouse eva! I needed a new planter.
It actually isn't that bad of a before item. $2 at the community thrift store. Score! I used Rustoleum Mat Black spray paint.
First coat. Key to using spray paint, a couple thin coats are better than one thick running/dripping coat.
Turned out perfect, and I had the paint left over from another project. So, cheap to make too!
Blue Echeveria
I did some quick research when I was at the greenhouse for pet friendly succulents. Selection was small, but I really like this gem. Thanks for stopping by.
Party Time!!
